Speciality Cheese Awards

Nantwich International Cheese Awards

Held annually in Nantwich, The International Cheese Awards showcase approximately 600 cheese-makers from around the world.

Both small artisan cheese-makers and big-name brands display their wares, with experts on hand to tell you everything you want to know about their cheese – and samples, of course.

A panel of industry experts judges the entrants the day before, so when you spot an award-winning cheese, you know it’s going to be great.

World Cheese Awards

The World Cheese Awards is the largest cheese competition in the world and the largest paid-for consumer food show in Europe.

In 2015, it attracted 2,700 entries from over 30 different countries which were judged by 250 industry experts from around the globe. The judging alone takes an entire day (and lunch is thrown in) which is another reason why the World Cheese Awards isn’t just for cheese-lovers – it’s a great place to do business.

The 2015 event and the exciting judging took place on 26 November at the NEC, BIRMINGHAM

Bath & West National Cheese Awards

Come and see the very best in cheese and dairy products from across Britain and around the world at the National Cheese Awards (now merged with the British Cheese Awards), held every summer as part of the Bath & West show.

With 67 categories (including the highest number of cheddar classes in the country), these highly competitive awards attract over 700 entries and are judged by a panel of specially-selected guest judges.

But as much as it’s all about cheese, the Bath & West show offers anyone in the dairy or animal husbandry industries to see the finest livestock Britain has to offer, taste local food, take in art, crafts and much more.

featuring The British Cheese Awards

These awards were established in 1994 to raise the profile of British cheese and create a recognised symbol of excellence for all British cheese.

In 2000 the Great British Cheese Festival, now owned and run by Cardiff City Council, was added to educate and inspire the consumer and in 2011 Cheese On The Green was created to give consumers a chance to see and taste over 900 cheeses left over from the judging.

The prestigious British Cheese Awards celebrated their coming of age by making their new home at the Royal Bath and West Show in 2014. The National Cheese Awards have been held at the Royal Bath and West Show for a number of years. The joining forces with British Cheese Awards broadened the schedule and range of entries, new classes were added and others merged though Cheddar  continues to play a significant role.
